I am a Canadian artist living in Winnipeg, Canada. My work is deeply inspired by the nature that surrounds us, and I am grateful for the creative outlet it provides.

 

Nature offers an endless array of lines, patterns, and shapes that repeatedly find their way into my work. These natural elements are what draw me to a particular scene, as they provide a rich tapestry of visual interest. Nature impacts all of my art, whether representational or abstract.

 

Creating art is a lifelong passion of mine.  I have always been fascinated by the way shapes and colors interact, and this fascination continues to drive my work today.

 

In terms of technique, I start each painting with a general idea, and I design the composition and details as I go. I employ an abstract technique where I decide on the next mark spontaneously, allowing my representational work to evolve organically on the canvas. This approach ensures that each piece is unique, reflecting both the inherent beauty of the natural world and my personal journey as an artist.
